BACKGROUND

There is perhaps nothing more challenging than setting up a company to realise your vision for the future. You have this vision about which you are passionate, but there is so much to deal with!

You are feeling:

  • frustrated,
  • uncertain,
  • lost,
  • unsure where to begin,
  • overloaded with tasks;
  • overwhelmed by potential costs.

This was the situation Rowena found herself in. She was begging for:

  • greater clarity
  • more control
  • AND Air to breathe!

As in all my coaching sessions, I embarked with Rowena on a step-by-step Course of Action.

The common saying ‘Rome was not built in a day’ also applies to entrepreneur-ship.

 

CLARITY AND GOAL SETTING

So, we:

  • prioritised her ‘to do list’;
  • identified which tasks should be delegated so that Rowena could concentrate on those areas of her business that only she could handle; for instance, web design was allocated to a professional web designer;
  • created a realistic time plan – using the SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-Bound) method.

By defining the tasks to be completed and allocating them, Rowena was able to:

  • regain clarity and purpose;
  • secure control over the tasks;
  • manage the costs.

In short, Rowena retained OWNERSHIP of her project… The integrity of her offering was safe-guarded.
